What is CAS?

CAS stands for Creativity, Activity and Service. It is a key element to the International Baccaleureate Diploma Program, as it encourages students to take part in the creative arts, different sports and physical activities, and voluntary community work respectively. These activities allow students to live a balanced lifestyle that is not solely focused on studying.

CAS is not assessed formally, but students are required to reflect on the activities they take part in. They also need to achieve all 8 learning outcomes.

CAS will take place during 18 whole months, including the summer between years 11 and 12.
